The competitions of Qatar Padel Open Tournament were concluded at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex last Sunday.
The tournament has brought together 100 teams
The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation Secretary General Tariq Zainal crowned the winners. The medal ceremony was attended by the tournament director Sultan Khalfan.
Serge Sanchez and Xavi Sanchez claimed the title of Group (A) after beating Gilliam Blassie and Max Cucurol in the final match.
Jassim Zeyara and Usama Muqaleh took the first place in Group (B) ahead of Abdulla Mousa and Nasser Al Jaber in the second place.
In Group (C), Ibrahim Al Najar and Jassim Al Harami won the first place after their victory over Mohamed Maher and Mohamed Al Marri in the final match.
Hamad Al Mohannadi and Mohamed Al Mohannadi claimed title of Group (D) after defeating Mohamed Al Emadi and Omar Al Khalaf in the final match.
Zainal said that organizing this local tournament is a manifestation of the Federations keenness to support the development of padel in the State of Qatar, raise its popularity, and provide Qatari players with support and opportunities to prepare for their upcoming competitions.
