The Qatar men’s padel team secured the bronze medal at the 2024 Arabian Gulf Cup, hosted in Kuwait over five days, with the participation of six teams: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, and Oman.

The Qatari national team triumphed over Bahrain 2-0 in the third-place playoff match, clinching the bronze medal.

The Qatari squad included players Mohammed Saadoun Al-Kuwari, Jaber Noh, Abdullah Haji, Hassan Wali, Mohammed Al-Khanji, Rayan Al-Jafiri, and Mishari Nawaf, along with Omar Hassan and Mohammed Abdullah.

Khaled Al-Khelaifi, a board member of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel & Badminton Federation and Chairman of the National Teams Committee, expressed his gratitude to all the players for their outstanding performance throughout the tournament. He said, “I extend my thanks to all the Qatari padel team players for their remarkable efforts during the competition. Our players demonstrated a commendable level of performance and high sportsmanship.”

He added, “This achievement represents an important step toward enhancing the level of the sport in Qatar. We are committed to continuing our support for the players, providing them with everything they need to achieve further success and development in the future.”

Al-Khelaifi emphasized the significance of Gulf competitions in advancing the sport in the region, noting that the Arabian Gulf Cup significantly boosts competitiveness among Gulf players and provides an ideal environment for gaining experience and exchanging skills.

The UAE national team claimed the championship title in the tournament’s third edition, while Kuwait secured second place.
