Qatar Shines as the Gulf Padel Championship Wraps Up

The second edition of the Gulf Padel Championship, hosted by the Qatar Padel Federation, came to an exciting close today at the Padel In courts in Aspire Zone. The event brought together top teams from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman in a round-robin showdown that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Over several action-packed days, teams battled it out across the men’s, women’s, and junior categories, showcasing the fast-growing talent and passion for padel across the region.

Qatar Takes Silver in Men’s Category

In the men’s competition, Qatar’s national team put up a brilliant fight, finishing second overall after a nail-biting 2–1 victory over Bahrain in their final match. The UAE team clinched the gold, while Kuwait secured the bronze.

Women’s & Juniors: Kuwait on Top

Kuwait dominated in both the women’s and junior categories, proudly walking away with two gold medals. In the women’s draw, they were followed by the UAE (silver) and Saudi Arabia (bronze). The same order played out in the juniors, where Kuwait once again led the pack, ahead of the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

A Memorable Closing Ceremony

The championship wrapped up with a lively coronation ceremony on the main court, celebrating not just the winners but the spirit of competition and unity among the Gulf nations.

Tournament Director Sultan Khalfan expressed his pride in how smoothly everything went:

“We’re very pleased with the success of this championship. The level of competition was intense, and it motivates us to keep pushing for more growth in padel. This is the perfect lead-up to next month’s Asian Padel Championship, which Qatar is honored to host.”

Qatari player Mohammed Sadoun Al Kuwari also praised the organization, noting how well Qatar showcased its capabilities in delivering yet another top-class tournament.
