FIP World Cup gala dinner brings global padel fraternity together

The Qatar Padel Federation hosted a gala dinner for participating national teams at the FIP World Cup 2026 on Sunday, bringing together players, officials and distinguished guests for an evening of friendship and celebration at the Al Jewan Hall of Dana Club.

The gathering provided an opportunity for representatives of all participating national teams to interact in a relaxed atmosphere away from the intensity of competition, reflecting the spirit of unity, sportsmanship and international friendship that characterises the prestigious tournament.

Among the distinguished guests was International Padel Federation (FIP) President Luigi Carraro, who joined senior officials of the Qatar Padel Federation and representatives of participating teams at the event.

The Qatar Padel Federation was represented by its Secretary-General and Tournament Director Tareq Zainal, alongside Board Members Saad Al Mohannadi, Karim Alami and Mohammad Al-Subaie.

Also attending was Managing Director of TotalEnergies EP Qatar and Country Chair Antoine Delafargue, adding to the distinguished gathering of sporting and corporate representatives.

The occasion offered an opportunity for players from different countries and cultural backgrounds to strengthen friendships, exchange experiences and celebrate their shared passion for padel.

The presence of senior FIP officials and Qatar Padel Federation representatives underscored the close cooperation between the international governing body and the local organisers in delivering the tournament.

The event further reflected Qatar’s growing prominence as a destination for major international sporting competitions, supported by its modern infrastructure, organisational expertise and hospitality.

With the FIP World Cup 2026 bringing together national teams from across the globe, the gala dinner served as a celebration of the sport’s international appeal and its ability to connect people through competition and mutual respect.

The evening concluded with participants looking forward to the tournament’s remaining action in Doha.
